The Parks Around Greendale, Wisconsin

If you want to learn some information about the parks in and around Greendale, Wisconsin, then you have come to the right place. Greendale sits to the southwest of Milwaukee and is considered part of the metropolitan area of Milwaukee.

Greendale features a number of parklands and public spaces. Many summer events happen at Gazebo Park, which is in the heart of the downtown area. Community Center Park is the host to many other activities.

The Greendale Parks

1) 84th & Grange: Covering 10.4 acres, this park currently has facilities that include a sand box with diggers, a play area with climbers and swings, a pair of soccer fields, and a softball diamond. At the time of writing, donations are being accepted towards a new playground.

2) College Park: Sitting at 51st and College, this 22.9 acre space features a pair of softball diamonds, two playgrounds, a trio of tennis courts, and several soccer fields.

3) Community Center Park: Located on the east side of 76th Street and south of Grange Avenue, this park has facilities available for rent. Specifically located at 6200 South 76th Street, the 21.9 acres here include facilities for baseball, sand volleyball, basketball, roller hockey, flag football, softball, and tennis courts. Additional facilities and options include playground equipment, picnic spots, walking paths, and a LifeTrail fitness system. Restrooms and a covered picnic area are available, but only to those that rent them out in advance.

4) Dale Creek Parkway: Fun and fitness rule the day here without sports. There's a daffodil playground, including a playground structure for toddlers. Also enjoy walking paths and the LifeTrail fitness system.

5) Gazebo Park: Find Gazebo Park in the downtown at 5710 Broad Street, or the corner of Broad Street and Schoolway. Summer concerts are held here on weekend evenings, sponsored by both Greendale Park and Recreation and the Greendale Entertainment Association. The Gazebo itself can be rented for photos and small events, with applications accepted for any year starting the first week of the same January. Reservations are first come, first serve, following 10 business day notice, rental fee, security deposit, and finished application.

6) Lions Park: Find the 2.7 acres of this place at the intersection of Edgehill and 76th Street, or just plug 7405 Edgehill Road into your GPS. Facilities include a playground and a baseball field.

7) Jaycee Park: Sitting at 6011 Broad Street, near the intersection with Southway, this 1.8 acre park features both playground equipment and a fenced baseball field.
