March 2017 in Greendale

In this monthly post I try to keep you up-to-date on upcoming events in Greendale for next month. Here's a look at March 2017.

Community Supported Agriculture

Tuesday, March 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Learn about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) presented by experts from the Urban Ecology Center. CSA allows residents to purchase a "share" of produce during the growing season. This is held at Greendale Hose Tower, 5699 Parking Street. For more information you can contact the Greendale Health Department at 414-423-2110 for additional information.

Village Board Meetings

This month there are two village board meetings scheduled, the first and third Tuesday, which are March 7 and March 21. These are at 7:00 p.m. You'll find the board gathering in the Village Hall Boardroom at 6500 Northway.

What Else To Do?

There are a variety of village shops you can visit. How about this month you check out The Wool and Cotton Co. at 5626 Broad Street. They sell supplies for knitting, crocheting, and spinning. You can join them the 1st Sunday of every month at 1:00 p.m. for a relaxing open knit/crochet afternoon. Or just stop by any time for yarns, fibers, and tools from local and national small independent companies. Take a look at their Facebook page or website for upcoming events and other information.

Enjoy!
