4th Of July Fun Apartment Party Suggestions

There are good things about living in an apartment. Such a life can certainly be easier than home ownership, but there are drawbacks too. In order to host a party, for instance, you might struggle with room for all the guests.

However, that doesn't mean you have to give up on the idea! Here are some fun party ideas for the 4th of July that will work at an apartment.

Throw a Bicycling Party

When you plan big bash, you don't have to have the entire party at your apartment. Instead, you can encourage your invited guests to start outside and explore the area. Have your guests bring their bicycle along to the party. Cycle around for a while and enjoy the neighborhood or venture into town. After that, your guests can return to your apartment for refreshments.

Your guests will certainly appreciate the cool air and refrigerated beverages at your apartment after they have been on their bikes for a while. As soon as you are finished with the ride and get back to your place, everyone will want to relax and cool off.

How About an Indoor Beach Party

Maybe the beach is too far away to visit this 4th of July. If so, you might like to try recreating the essence of a beach within your apartment. Give your apartment a makeover so that it looks and feels something like a beach.

Take out some of your furniture pieces and put them in storage. Get some beach furniture and lay some towels on your floor. You can encourage everyone to dress as if they're going to the beach and then serve them fun beach drinks. Of course, if your apartment complex includes pool access, you might be able to invite your guest to swim!

Try a Balcony Party

Does your apartment unit have a balcony? If so, the balcony might be a suitable spot to entertain your guests. You will want to have a smaller guest list for this type of party so that everyone can take advantage of the balcony.

Based on the location of your apartment relative to your city's fireworks display, you might get to see the fireworks out of your balcony. This elevated "above street level" view might enable you to see things that people down below would miss. And if the rules allow, you might want to hand out sparklers to light when you are out on the balcony.

Enjoy Indoor Fireworks

I don't mean lighting fireworks while you are inside! That's a crazy fire hazard and will probably get you kicked out of your apartment. But you can enjoy fireworks inside if you have a large screen HD television. This is a good alternative to going outside to view the fireworks especially if you don't have a good view.

And, if the weather is so hot and muggy that you are dripping and uncomfortable, your invited guests may appreciate having the opportunity to stay indoors where the air is cool. Heck, if it's really nice inside people may prefer the display on TV.

If you are living in an apartment, don't hesitate to throw a 4th of July party. Even when you don't have your own backyard there are things you can do to create a party atmosphere in and around your apartment. Your friends and family will likely have a great time, and you will have a lot of fun too.
